The other option of course is to just put these libraries on a huge USB3 drive and run it right off the new machine. It has two 512GB 7200rpm drives on it so seems like it might be a good use of the machine.Īnyone done this? What would be a good way to connect the machines so that Pro Tools or Nuendo (and even Logic X) would see it and load things without issue? I'm planning on also getting a Thunderbolt dock for the new machine so that's one possibility. Rather than sell it, I was wondering about the possibility of using it to host virtual instruments. I'm about to pull the trigger on a new-old-stock i7 2.3 Mac mini server as a system upgrade as I can get one for over £200 less than when they were new. ![]()
